Self-Love Moves Center Stage

Yesterday's Self-Love Becomes Poetic Masterclass was amazing! There was a tremendous hunger for the encouragement, insight, and community we co-created. The women who attended were phenomenal, so compassionate and committed to serving others. And the content was received like rainfall on parched earth. Everyone reported feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and grateful for some tools for striking a lasting balance between fulfilling our own needs and the needs of others in our lives.

The workbook was a fan favorite!

Here is a free copy of the workbook for you to enjoy (revised with input from yesterday's session). It is designed to accompany the presentation so please let me know if you have any questions, but I hope you find it useful.

The workbook offers structure and practical writing prompts to dig down deep into our hearts and discover our true wants and needs, which we may have ignored and forgotten for some time. Desires are funny, they get quieter the longer they are ignored. After a while, they don't even bother to speak up any more so we have to be intentional about giving them voice.

One of the favorite exercises was the wheel of life:

Here's how it works. In segment of the wheel, place a dot on the line that indicates your level of satisfaction on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being most satisfied. Then connect the dots to see the shape that results. Identify one action step to take to improve your satisfaction each segment. Repeat this exercise as often as desired and watch the shifting of the shape that is created each time. The goal is to get as close to the outside circle possible, indicating 10s in all segments.

This powerful exercise helps to gauge our level of satisfaction with the various segments of our life. In time, we see our lives bloom and blossom into a closer expression of our hearts desires. I encourage you to check it out, along with the rest of the workbook, to help you nurture yourself like never before.

To those of you who attended yesterday, thank you for your light, your positive energy, and enthusiasm to continually improve yourself. Don't stop! You're on the right track. Your opinion matters. Please post a testimonial at sonyakayblakegallery.com we can hear from you about what the experience was like for you.
