Ready to "Begin Again"

As we step into this new year, what is your approach into the season ahead? As for me, I’m choosing faith over certainty—and inviting you to do the same.

We might think a perfect plan or a fully mapped path ahead might bring us the security we crave, and heaven knows, I love a good plan. But, despite my propensity to overthink, I know in my heart that my plans are not truly the source of my security.

In addition to our thought-through plans, what we also need at the start of this new year is a willing heart. A heart that listens. A heart that follows. A heart that remembers to pause and breathe when the way forward appears unclear.

I always find myself at some phase of the creation cycle. Beginnings are often tender and quiet. Middles can be stretching, messy, and demanding. And yet, resolution has a way of arriving—sometimes exactly as we hoped, and sometimes in a form we never expected. Either way, clarity comes. Truth rises. We learn what matters.

This cycle of creativity inspired my poetry print Begin Again, written as a companion for moments just like this. The poem honors new beginnings, acknowledges the challenge of the middle, and gently reminds us that even when outcomes differ from our desires, there is always wisdom waiting for us on the other side.

As we move forward together, may we trust the unfolding. May we listen more deeply, follow more faithfully, and breathe more fully into each step.

Here’s to beginning again—together.
