Poetic Moment: Songs You Didn't Know

When a spiritual teacher speaks truth with love, their words do more than fill a room—they take root in hearts, echoing long after the voice has gone silent. “Songs You Didn’t Know” was inspired by that kind of enduring impact. I wrote it for a spiritual leader I know, who recently went on a medical leave, as a reflection of how his teachings continue to resound through our community even in his absence.

In this poem, the voice becomes both symbol and spirit—carrying divine wisdom that transcends physical presence. The imagery moves from echo to oak, from sound to source, illustrating how one person’s faith and compassion can ground a community, nurture growth, and inspire transformation. His words have been like living water—refreshing, healing, and guiding us toward wholeness.

Though we can't hear his physical voice for a time, the truth he shared continues to move among us like incense through sacred space—reminding us that spirit cannot be silenced. We hear him in our prayers, in our conversations, and in the courage we summon each day to live out our divine potential.

When he returns, we know he’ll bring new wisdom from the journey he’s walking now. But until then, we sing—songs born of his teaching, shaped by our faith, and carried by gratitude—beautiful songs he didn’t even know he had inspired...

Songs You Didn't Know

The sound of your voice echoes still.
Truth like incense wafting through the ages.
Thoughts manifest real; Hearts healed whole. Destinies lived out loud.

The power of your voice roots strong.
A mighty oak shading a bubbling brook.
Faulty foundations stabilized. Addictions broken. Insecurities overcome.

The source of your voice rings true.
Divinity itself sounds the universal tone.
Souls lifted high. Energy amplified wide. Universal expansion fulfilled.

Your voice still speaks when you aren’t in the room.
Encouragements with wisdom and compassion building communities.
We proclaim what you taught us to hear in the whispers of our hearts.
When you return, you’ll bring new realms of insight.
And find us singing
beautiful songs you didn’t even know.
